A little about me

I am originally from Denver, Colorado, and moved to Ponte Vedra about two years ago. I love warm weather, the beach, and lounging by the pool, which is where you'll find me most of the time. I also love staying active, whether that's playing pickleball, going for walks, or working out!

Philosophy and therapeutic approach

Bringing yourself to therapy takes courage and boldness. It involves acknowledging your struggles. As a therapist, I desire to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can share your experiences and bring your authentic self. We will walk through your personal struggles and experiences together, working toward goals of growth and healing.

As a Christian, I believe we were never meant to carry our burdens alone. Scripture reminds us to "carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). Whether or not faith is something you wish to incorporate into our sessions, my hope is that you experience therapy as a place where you feel supported, encouraged, and reminded that you do not have to face life's hardships on your own.

What to expect in Therapy

As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling practicum student, I work under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor and am committed to providing ethical, evidence-based care while continuing to grow as a clinician. I strive to approach each client with empathy, curiosity, and genuine care, recognizing that every person's story is unique. I believe therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we will explore the challenges you're facing, identify your strengths, and work toward meaningful goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, or simply seeking personal growth, you can expect a safe environment where your experiences and emotions are valued!

Personal Qualifications and Experience

From a young age, I knew I had a heart for people. After graduating from my undergraduate program, I obtained a position at Unlockt as a Brain Coach and Registered Behavior Technician. In this role, I spend time helping young children and teens navigate ADHD, practice emotional regulation, and learn to manage impulsivity. This experience has deepened my passion for working with young people and reinforced the importance of building genuine connections while providing a safe space where they feel heard and understood.

I am currently finishing my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and expect to graduate next August! In the meantime, I intend to pour my heart into the clients I have the privilege of working with as I begin my journey as a therapist.
