Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (Reg. LCSW Intern - Florida)

Personal interests

I enjoy spending quality time with my family, caring for animals and spending time on our small farm, and being connected to the community. Much of who I am personally and professionally is rooted in family, faith, compassion, and serving others. I value creating meaningful connections, slowing down to enjoy life’s simple moments, and encouraging others as they navigate life’s challenges and healing journey.

Philosophy and therapeutic approach

My approach to counseling is warm, trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based. I believe therapy should be a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and never judged.

I am especially passionate about helping individuals and families work through trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, behavioral concerns, and painful life experiences. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they begin to understand their story, build healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward healing and hope.

What to Expect in Therapy

In therapy, you can expect a compassionate and collaborative environment. We will begin by building trust, identifying your goals, and exploring the concerns that brought you to counseling. Together, we will work at a pace that feels safe while developing practical tools to help improve emotional wellness, communication, boundaries, and daily functioning.

I believe each person’s story and healing journey are unique. My goal is to provide a supportive and compassionate environment where clients feel safe to grow, process challenges, build resilience, and move toward hope and healing at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

Personal Qualifications and Experience

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and dual Master’s degrees in Social Work and Disaster Resilience Leadership from Tulane University School of Social Work. I am currently working toward full clinical licensure in Florida as a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern.

My professional background includes extensive experience in social services, nonprofit leadership, trauma-informed care, biblical counseling, crisis response, and community-based care. I have worked closely with youth, adolescents, families, individuals experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, behavioral challenges, family conflict, and major life transitions.

Throughout my career, I have served in both clinical and leadership roles focused on strengthening individuals, families, and communities through compassionate support, advocacy, counseling, and resource connection. My experience has shaped my belief that healing happens through safety, trust, authentic relationships, and hope-centered care.
