Dear HouseDad, From Trey & Diana

WIN A TRIP (2).png

Father's Day is a time to honor the men who have played a fatherly role throughout our lives. Whether it be your biological, adopted, step, or what we like to call "HouseDads," these men have taken a stand to caring and giving their unconditional love.

A couple children from both the Girls and Boy's home wanted to share a few words on why they are grateful to have their HouseDad.

RICH AND LAMAR, THIS IS FOR YOU!

From Trey, To Rich

I love how Mr. Rich is wise and helps all of us with a lot of stuff. He is fun at home when he tries to imitate me and it’s funny. My most embarrassing moment is when Mr. Rich pinned me 15 times...

Mr. Rich, I just want to thank you for always being there for us.

From Diana, To Lamar

The best thing about Mr. Lamar is that he tells us stories about what he did as a child and how he lived in a group home- some stories are sad and some make me crack up. My favorite time with Mr. Lamar was when we went to Universal Studios. It was my second day here at Seamark and I thought that was one of the greatest days of my life. He made it so fun for me.

Now, this may not be embarrassing but I have never been woken up like this before. Mr. Lamar thought it would be funny to wake me up in a unique way. See, Mr. Lamar and I always try to jump out and scare each other... so, one morning he and Mrs. Nancy came in my room to wake me up, using a metal spoon and a pot. They came in banging on the pots scared the living daylights out of me and my roommate. They made me fall off my bed! They woke me up alright and he won the "scare of the day" that day.

Mr. Lamar, thank you for letting me be a part of Seamark Ranch. You have made me feel welcome and you make the girl's house feel like home. Thank you so much, Mr. Lamar.
